Accessibility
Statement.
We want anyone who visits this site to be able to read it, navigate it, and contact us, regardless of how they use the web. We are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA and we welcome feedback when we miss.
§ 1Conformance target
Our target is Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We are not claiming full conformance yet. We test, fix, and re-test on a rolling basis. This page reflects where we stand on the date at the top.
§ 2What we have done
- Semantic HTML. Headings, lists, navigation, and landmarks are marked up so assistive technology can announce them correctly.
- Keyboard navigation. You can tab through every page, reach every link, and submit every form without a mouse. Focus rings are visible and meet contrast requirements.
- Descriptive alt text. Content images have alt text that describes what is shown. Decorative images are marked empty so screen readers skip them.
- Contrast ratios. Body text and interface text meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA minimum contrast ratios.
- Reduced motion. If your operating system requests reduced motion, animations are turned off or simplified site-wide.
- Scaling text. Font sizes scale with browser settings. Zoom to 200 percent without horizontal scrolling on the standard layouts.
- Skip link. A "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page.
§ 3Known limitations
We are continually testing on assistive technology, and the cinematic photography and form-engineering type styles in our design can be visually dense. If you run into a section that does not work for you, tell us. Specific known items we are working on:
- Some decorative ambient animations may still draw the eye even with reduced motion engaged. We are auditing these.
- A small number of older PDF documents linked from the site have not yet been fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible version on request.
§ 4Accommodations and feedback
If you need information from this site in a different format, are running into a barrier, or want to suggest an improvement, we want to hear about it. Email admin@alphacompanyaviation.com or call (941) 375-9727 and ask for Elena or the office.
We aim to respond within five business days, faster when we can.
